"Cast Away" was the one that really spoiled the movie for me. The first trailer was perfect, showing him alone on the island. The second one had his friend telling him he'd been gone for four years and they had a funeral for him.
I turn the channel every time a "Spider-Man 2" trailer comes on now, if I wanted to know what happens, I'd read the book.

Are you kidding me? Everytime I see that trailer I get pumped! Everyone I know is so excited about this movie, especially because of the trailer.

The first couple trailers were great, they just gave hints at the plotlines. But showing him without a mask on, slowing down that train is bound to spoil something.
I think the trailers should only show footage from the first 45 minutes of a movie, at the most. That way the climax isn't ruined by the time you see it.

But we haven't seen the movie yet, so let's reserve that until we see it. Plus the early reviews say that it is better than the first.
Plus you guys it's a spider-man movie, we all know what's going to happen, but that trailer is awesome.

Oh yeah, I'll probably be seeing it Wednesday if my schedule stays like it is. I just want to know as little as possible about it going in.

Believe me dude I'm stoked (notice mine and Dawn's avatars). But, like Scorpio, I wanna see as little as possible in the trailer. You see him unmasked and being carried by people over their heads. WTF? Probably a dream he's having, maybe not. But I don't need that to get pumped for this movie, no fan does. Save the longer trailers til the movie has been out about 2 weeks then use it to get those who were on the fence over whether or not to see it.

I just don't agree about this particular movie. If it were a drama that hinged on the plot, then I agree. But this is a summer blockbuster based on a comic book. Explosions, chases, danger, love, fights, honor, the good guy about to lose then win, so on and so on, that's what I'm looking for. I just love that trailer, the cuts, the music, the scenes. I CAN"T WAIT!

Geez
Why is it so hard to understand that they don't want to know every twist and turn in a movie even if it is a comic book based summer blockbuster? Sure you know who he'll fight and some of the things that have to happen in his life but it is an original story based off of the comic so you don't know EVERYTHING that will happen.
I made the mistake of playing the Spider-Man game and knew exactly how it would end. I just knew that it would vary from the movie but it didn't. I learned my lesson and will only play the game after seeing the movie.
The worst movie trailer was for Double Jeopardy. Every single plot twist was given away in the previews.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith comes to mind. I loved the movie but the trailer gave way too much away. Those of you who saw the trailer know what I'm talking about but I won't spoil it for the few people who haven't seen it yet.

Too often, I'll go to see a movie that's all hyped up to be great, and be disappointed to find out that ALL of the good scenes were used in the trailer. There was nothing more to the movie...

Recently, I watched "The Mask Of Zorro" again on DVD. In the special features section, they have two trailers for the movie. I love the movie, it's one of my favorites. But if you watch those two trailers, they show every single great scene in the entire movie in them. I figure the next time I want to watch the the movie, I'll just watch them instead and save two hours.
