Thumbs up

The last movie I saw was last Thursday and it was "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." I really enjoyed it. The action was exciting and fun. Nothing to violent and bloody in my opinion. Pitt and Jolie have great onscreen chemistry. I could care less what, if anything, is going on with them privately, but they certainly set the screen on fire. It was pretty funny too. I wish Vince Vaughn was it in more, but he's obviously not either title character so I understand. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun way to kill a couple hours. I had no idea Adam Brody is in it (like two tiny scenes), but he has a couple witty lines. Pretty much standard summer fare, but it doesn't suck at all.

I saw Flightplan last night and it was ok. It was a good movie until about the last quarter of it, and then it was kinda hokey. And predictable, sadly.

Last movie i saw was Waiting, but i grade it a B. It wasn't that bad. I think it would of been better with a lot of people in the theatre, but i was screening it, and i was by myself

I saw Good Night, and Good Luck last Friday. For a person who doesn't like political movies, it was very very good. Great acting, great cast, brisk pace, bit of humor. I'd give it a B+, and a likely Oscar nod for David Strathairn.

Two weeks ago I saw Doom. It was your typical hunt-em-down, shoot-em-up action flick. BIG props for the first person shooter scene. I give it a B.

Last week I saw Dreamer. Hate myself for liking it but horse racing is pretty cool. Damn if that Dakota Fanning isn't a good actress. My grade is again a B.

The last movie I saw in theaters was Jarhead (last weekend). Great, funny, thought-provoking movie, so long as you don't expect it to revolve around politics and/or shit blowing up.

The last rental was Mysterious Skin. Another excellent movie, but centered around a more cringe-inducing subject: pedophilia and the different ways in which it effects two boys growing up.
