I watched "The Ring" last night. I was really expecting something better. The first fifteen minutes were the best of the whole movie. Other than this, the movie wasn't scary at all. It was boring. It was as if I'd seen the characters in other movies before. I mean, you had the career driven mom that never spent any time with her kid, and the kid who looked like a Culkin relative and called his mom by her first name. Then she goes to all this trouble to research the danged tape, and finds out that she was safe anyway just because she had made a copy of it. How the hell did this tape get made in the first place? And who makes a tape? Make a DVD! Tapes are so 80's.
Should I be worried that someone gave me this movie?
And if you're wondering if I viewed the actual cursed movie on the DVD's special features....I did not. And I've never said "Candyman" in front of a mirror five times either!

Just watched "Code Hunter" this afternoon. It's a really crappy hacker-save-the-world type of film. Other than Vanessa Marcil, the movie was just awful.

I missed the beginning but I was quickly drawn to it and ended up watching the rest. Thought it was a good movie

Just finished "King Arthur". I kind of liked it. It was the director's cut, so it tended to drag on a bit too long. The odd thing is that I liked all the other characters better than Arthur himself. His knights were much cooler, and I thought the Saxon king was the best character in the movie. I was glad to finally see it, but I really don't need to ever see it again.

The Forgotten
I saw the Forgotten last night. It was spooky and the idea was fresher than some I've seen. The ending looked a little too easy though.

Sabotage (1936), Hitchcock's last British film, which was shown in my "History of Cinema" class. Good work by him.

Madhouse, what a freaky movie and an excellent twist at the end.
