What movies are you looking forward to seeing?

It's the middle of the year, what's coming up in the last half that you want to see?

My list:

Collateral - First off, it's a Michael Mann movie, so it's going to be sharp. Second, it's got Tom Cruise as a bad guy. A very bad guy.

Alien vs Predator - I don't think it will measure up to the first Alien or Predator movies, but it should be fun. I'll take any Predator movie I can get.

Paparazzi - I just saw the trailer the other day and it looks incredible. Cole Hauser plays a celebrity that gets hounded by the press and when they go too far, he gets even. I hadn't heard a thing about this movie until this week, and the trailer just looks perfect. Also starring; Robin Tunney, Tom Sizemore and Dennis Farina. Mel Gibson is the producer and creator of it.

Blade: Trinity - Given that it has the same writer as the previous two movies, I'm pretty sure it will be on par with the first two. That writer is also directing it this though, his first time directing. Hopefully he'll have taken some tips from Guillermo Del Toro, director of "Blade II".

Ray - A Ray Charles biopic starring Jamie Foxx. I never really took Jamie Foxx all that seriously as an actor, but he's amazing in the clips I've seen. This makes two possibly great movies for him this year. He totally has Ray's mannerisms and voice down pat. And he couldn't look more like him in this, it's uncanny!

Ocean's 12 - I'm not sure if this is coming out in December like it was supposed to, but I'll see it whenever it comes out. The previous movie was great. A stellar cast having fun with material that isn't the heavy stuff they usually deal with.

I'm sure I'll be adding more to the list as I see trailers for them.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse
The trailer looks promising.

Ju-On The Grudge (Remake)
The trailer is wicked cool.

I agree with Scorpio's picks also.

I was going to update my list, but that's still pretty much the movies I want to see, minus "Alien vs Predator" because I saw that one already.

I also want to see "Hero", but the subtitles will bug me. I'll be seeing for the visuals anyway, hopefully the DVD will be dubbed.

"Cellular" is another tight looking thriller coming out. It has an interesting plot, a kidnapped woman calls a stranger on his cell phone and asks him for help, and a good cast. It'll get my money.

That trailer for "Ray" gives me goosebumps though, I hope it's as good as it seems. If it is, they should just hand Jamie Foxx the Oscar right away. His only real competion is Jesus anyway (The Passion of the Christ).

And I heard the other day that the guy that directed "Paparazzi" used to be Mel Gibson's hair stylist?! It's true too, they have his resume on the imdb. The movie looks great though.

"Saw" looks pretty creepy based on the trailers that were on "The Punisher" DVD.

Even though I'm not a big musical fan, The Phantom of the Opera looks interesting for a Joel Shumacher. I think it could be an Oscar Contender for a lot of catagories.
