What I like is...
I like the usual and then some...
-Widescreen
-Commentaries are a must. I love when the commentary turns out to be fun and informative.
-Deleted/Alternate/Extended Scenes
-Gag Reel if appropriate. Imagine a gag reel for Schindler's List? LoL... Actually, now I want to see that...
-Behind the Scenes/Documentary/Interviews with Cast
And extras...
-Production stills
-I actually like easter eggs.
-I like when they include features on techniques used for special effects.
And in relation to this, one of the latest DVD's I've purchased had something cool... Tim Burton's Corpse Bride dvd had a Music Only track on the dvd. You could watch the film's animation but only hear the music without the sfx and the character's voices. I'd never seen that before. I'm a big Elfman fan. If anyone else is too, you might like the podcast he's got up at corpsebridedvd.com too. Anyway, The music only track is totally unnecessary, but I like that it's up there for me to enjoy if I feel like it.
What I don't like on DVDs are...
-Trailers for other films besides the film I'm watching.
-Games that you play with the dvd remote.
-Loud, annoying music on the menu.
-Fancy pants menus that are experimental layouts rather than clear and straight to the point.
