Unbreakable (kind of that whole thing, just caught me off gaurd about this ordinary guy finding out extraordinary things about his powers)

Spider-Man

Xmen, Xmen 2 (X-Men 2 just as good.)

and then 2 comic books stories with a movie:

Chasing Amy

American Splendor

My favorite direct translation is "Spider-Man". They just did it perfectly. I can probably fill this whole page with all the stuff they nailed.

"Batman" was a great movie. And is a close second.

"Blade" and "Blade 2" though are in a league of their own, as they're so much better than the comics that inspired them. Part 2 especially.

Of course! That was M. Night's vision of a superhero. Great movie, great director, great story.

It is a superhero movie, but not technically a comic book movie.
